Above the town of Pineville KY, is "Chained Rock" in the Pine Mountain State Resort Park .
It Is said the boulders are held back from crashing down on Pineville by the Chain. Others say that is a just a tourist attraction. However The city government decided in 1933 to Install the Chain. The Old Rusty chain weighs Over a ton and is 101 feet long. Even Stranger is a Plaque states that there was already an older chain there that the current one replaced.
